Treat yourself to Scheepjes’ newest, more sustainable yarn collections, Scrumptious and Truly Scrumptious! Inspired by desserts from around the world, each shade is named after a mouth-watering flavour. Why not indulge in Key Lime Pie and Honeycomb Crunch, or feast your eyes on Blueberry Parfait! Using this deliciously soft yarn may feel like a guilty pleasure, but thanks to its recycled plastic bottle content, you’ll be able to knit, crochet and craft away with a clearer conscience.
To ease the transition to a more sustainable yarn option, we’ve ensured that Scrumptious and Truly Scrumptious are compatible with Scheepjes Colour Crafter and Chunky Monkey and can be mixed and matched within the same project. All patterns previously designed for Colour Crafter and Chunky Monkey can also be made with their new counterpart of Scrumptious or Truly Scrumptious. Proving just how easy it is to create the existing patterns in our new yarns, we will showcase two of our popular YARN - The After Party patterns, newly knitted with Truly Scrumptious. We’ll feature the cosy longline Go-To Cardigan by Neringa Rūkė (YARN – The After Party 103), as well as The Borderlines Jumper designed by Simy’s Studio (YARN – The After Party 128), along with the option to add a mouth-watering fruity twist! More enticing patterns are on the way, and this Autumn sees the release of the Beyond Delicicous Polo Shirt - a Scrumptious knitted shirt with contrast collar and sleeves designed by Simy’s Studio.
This is my LYS for Scheepjes. They have the best selection of this yarn (and other quality yarns), the fastest service, and a very easy to use website.
Love this store. It’s my go to because the price is good and the product is wonderful.
Scrumptious really lived up to its name! It’s super soft and knits up nicely. The heather effect is subtle but beautiful. The colour names are perfect!
The color & feel of this yarn is perfect
PROS: Soft; plenty of rich and saturated colours to choose from; strong fibres; machine washable
CONS: Seems lighter than DK weight; skein has lots of knots; "halo" is more pronounced than Colour Crafter (perhaps due to polyester content?)
